Fazeela and Brett’s Prospect Park Boathouse Wedding

A forest-like setting, two giant chow-chows and pineapple upside-down cake: Brett and Fazeela’s Prospect Park Boathouse wedding in a nutshell.

The environmentally conscious couple wanted an outdoor setting where they would be close to the elements. Since the pair live across the street from Prospect Park and visit there nearly everyday, the Boathouse — with its lakeside setting and its audubon center — was the natural choice. Add in their two beloved dogs, a bathouse “guestbook” fashioned by the father of the bride (a nod to the newlyweds’ interest in bat conservation), and some farm-fresh jam as favors, and the event was a decidedly personal celebration of life in all forms.
