READY TO TIE THE KNOT?
OUR NYC WEDDING OFFICIANTS ARE HERE TO GET YOU MARRIED!
FAQs
Who are you?
Everly Studios is a full-service wedding and elopement photography studio run by Jocelyn Voo, an NYC wedding photographer and — you guessed it! — an ordained NYC wedding officiant. In addition to offering photography services and photo + officiant packages, we also offer officiant services a la carte.
What is your NYC wedding officiant service all about?
We believe in thoughtful details and playful lightheartedness. We think ceremonies should be fun, romantic and personal. We believe weddings should be a celebration of YOU: references to what you love about each other, little inside jokes that you have, and other such details that make the ceremony uniquely yours. This kind of customization is our stamp on every wedding, whether you’re having a 200-person ceremony or two-person elopement. We’re personable, professional and ready to celebrate your day of love.
What do your NYC wedding officiant services include?
First we’ll have a pre-wedding phone or video consultation to get to know each other and understand exactly what kind of ceremony you’re envisioning. All officiant services are then customized to your specifications, to include the exact verbiage and rituals that you’d like on your special day. After the ceremony, the NYC wedding officiant will sign and take care of the paperwork to ensure your marriage is legal.
Do you offer wedding packages?
Yes! We offer officiant + photography NYC elopement packages. These include the same custom ceremony you’d receive a la carte, as well as planning assistance and multiple hours of photography by Jocelyn of Everly Studios.
What is the cost for the services?
Officiating prices start at $375 for in-person ceremonies, and $3,550 for photography + officiant packages.
Where are your officiants ordained to perform?
Our NYC wedding officiants are ordained and registered to perform in the state of New York and New Jersey.
Can we say our own vows?
Absolutely. All officiants will work with you to create a perfect ceremony that allow for you to say personal words to each other if you wish (and just go by the script if you don’t!).
We want to have religious and/or cultural elements in our ceremony. Is that possible?
While we weren’t ordained in the Catholic Church and cannot perform as rabbis, we certainly can include certain elements. Let us know when you reach out!
Will you marry LGBTQ+ couples?
A hundred percent, yes. For us, love is love, and all lovers are welcome here. Same-sex marriages were legalized in NY in 2011 and NJ in 2013, and we are honored to wed any couple in love.
How long will the ceremony last?
On average, ceremonies last around 10-20 minutes, depending on how customized you want it. After the ceremony, we will sign the paperwork together.
We just made the decision to elope next week! Do you do last-minute ceremonies?
Yes, we do! Oftentimes 10 days or more is ideal to get everything squared away, but we’ve been known to swing last-minute ceremonies in 72 hours or less. Get in touch!
How do we get our marriage license?
If you’re getting married in NYC, here’s the steps to getting a marriage license online or in-person via Project Cupid. You will need to get the marriage license at least 24 hours in advance of your ceremony (but no further out than 60 days). Please note, Project Cupid is backed up and appointments are scarce, so I’d recommend checking every Thursday around 9am, when they tend to release appointments. You can also go outside the NYC metro area (such as Long Island and Rockland County) and go to a City Clerk that is open for an appointment.
If getting married in New Jersey, you will need to get a marriage license at least 72 hours in advance of your ceremony. If you or your partner currently lives in NJ, you can get the license from the NJ municipality either of you live in. If neither of you live in NJ, you must obtain the license from the municipality you will be holding your ceremony. See more information here.
We’re internationals eloping in NYC. Can you help?
Absolutely, anyone — including internationals and non-New Yorkers — can get married in NYC. Here’s some info on how to get married in NYC as a foreigner.
I’m interested! How can we chat?
First, contact me and let me know the details of your wedding. When and where are you getting married? How many guests will there be? What kind of ceremony are you envisioning? We’ll have an introductory video call to get to know each other and discuss details. Then I’ll be able to give you a more accurate quote.
