The Metropolitan Museum of Art Engagement | Alex & TS

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is a special place for Alex and TS, who are members and regularly make a date out of going to the exhibits. For this reason, a Met Museum engagement session was the ideal activity: not only is the art amazing, but the location is also special to them — a quality I always love incorporating into my work.

Aesthetically, there’s so much to love at the Met. Pro tip, though: technically you are only allowed to take photos in The Met Museum for personal use, which means engagement photos fly under the radar. Wedding photos, on the other hand, require a pre-arranged permit.

The cab pulled up to the curb on the Upper West Side, and after a quick snuggle out on the front steps, we made our way to the Temple of Dendur, one of my personal favorite spots. After that we made our way to the Chinese Garden, one of their favorite rooms, and then through their collection of Greek and Roman art. In all, a perfect date night, and, in my opinion, a perfect way to commemorate their engagement.
