Brooklyn City Hall Wedding + Green-Wood Cemetery | Kristen & Mike

When it came time to make wedding plans, Kristen and Mike were set on having the most stress-free day possible. The pair decided on celebrating in their own borough with a Brooklyn City Hall wedding, braving the morning queue and being rewarded with a speedy ceremony. Afterward, we headed to Green-Wood Cemetery — not somewhere one might normally expect newlyweds to want to take wedding photos, but that’s precisely why I loved their selection so much.
Historically a sprawling park, Green-Wood has miles of winding trails boasting blooming cherry blossom trees, calm lakes, and intricately designed memorials bearing a beautiful patina. On that morning there was nary another person, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Plus, the couple lives in the neighborhood and frequent Green-Wood often, making it that much more special.
A springtime celebration of Brooklyn? Yes, indeed. Congrats, Mike and Kristen!
