Top of the Rock Wedding in NYC | Hilary & Bryce
How much New York-ier can you get than Top of the Rock wedding photos?
When Hilary and Bryce decided to elope in NYC, they wanted photos that were distinctly New York: yellow taxicabs, dollar-slice pizza, and the all-important cityscape shot with the Empire State Building. The vibe: effortlessly downtown chic. The views: unparalleled. And the fact that they wanted to exchange vows at sunset all but guaranteed the lighting would be amazing. They knew that the timing made it peak tourist, but they were willing to roll the dice and hope that we could have a few moments where it’d feel like just the two of them.
I met the pair at the Beekman Hotel for getting ready, then headed over to Central Park for some classic Bethesda Terrace portraits. Afterward was the main event: we jumped in the cab and arrived at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in a flash. After making our way up 66 flights in the queue, we emerged in the late afternoon sunlight, 850 feet in the air, ready for an intimate Top of the Rock wedding.
And the views? Definitely NYC, and definitely worth it. You can see for miles, and it’s a vantage point that’s unlike anywhere else. We happened to go during a dead period in the afternoon, too, which was just the cherry on top. Photos of you, the skyline, and nothing else around. Million dollar view? Yeah, I’d say so.
