When Leslie and Frederic started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted something intimate, romantic, and quintessentially New York. The morning-of, we strolled past West Village townhouses and tree-lined streets before having their usual ritual of sharing a croissant, coffee and the New York Times at Pastis — a perfect pre-NYC restaurant wedding moment that was both relaxed and intentional.

When we got to Bobo, the restaurant was beautifully draped in soft peach, pink, taupe, and cream florals. The dried grasses and organic elements brought bohemian texture while the elegant setting kept everything feeling elevated. And the canopy installation was a showstopper—it really transformed the garden ceremony space into something magical.

After the ceremony, guests were free to eat, drink and be merry, dancing to the five-piece band during cocktail hour and chatting around farmhouse tables during the plated dinner. It was relaxed and casual, yet still and classy. For anyone looking for a relaxed and casual, yet still classy venue, I’m convinced a New York restaurant wedding is the way to go.
