Lucy and Igor’s San Francisco Engagement

As a native Californian, there’s something about shooting in my home state that gives me warm, fuzzy feelings (but nobody tell NYC I said that). San Francisco is one of those places close to my heart: I went to university in the Bay (go Bears!), and spent many hours in my formative years exploring the parks, painted ladies and colorful neighborhoods, meeting the most diverse people and eating my weight in tacos al pastor.

So it’s nice to return over a decade later to photograph Lucy and Igor, a pair who embody that cool, relaxed Cali sensibility. A meandering photo walk through the Mission and Chinatown on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon? Sounds like a breath of fresh Pacific air to me.
