This A Treehouse for Dreaming wedding hits all the right notes for a modern boho wedding. Samira and Josh had originally planned a larger black-tie affair, but Covid forced them to pivot to something smaller. The pair picked Central Park because it’s a place they love and visit everyday. Still, their streamlined Central Park wedding at A Treehouse for Dreaming lacked nothing; how could you go wrong with killer style, dogs and a Central Park gem?
The pair decided to meet at the American Museum of History for a first look, then stroll over to meet their guests. The venue actually has several names: A Treehouse for Dreaming, Dene Summerhouse, Summerhouse at the Dene. But no matter what you call it, it was the perfect spot for a small wedding, with a green canopy of leaves draping over the rustic roof and room for their 22 guests to fit comfortably.
With the groom’s sister officiating and their two dogs in rapturous attendance, the pair exchanged vows, capping their ceremony with a champagne toast and rose petal toss. But they still had one last special moment for themselves: after their guests departed, the newlyweds stayed a bit longer to have a first dance in private, just as the sun dipped below the horizon.
