620 Loft and Garden wedding

620 Loft & Garden Wedding | Nikita + Sergei

When I first got the inquiry for this 620 Loft & Garden wedding, I knew it was going to be something special. Two grooms, just them, on one of NYC’s best rooftop wedding venues? Sign me up. What I didn’t expect was how effortlessly stylish these guys would make the whole thing look.

I’ve photographed at a lot of NYC wedding venues, and a lot of them needs a lot of extras. This place doesn’t need to. The rooftop garden sits above Fifth Avenue, and honestly, the views do most of the heavy lifting. You’ve got St. Patrick’s Cathedral right there, the city sprawling out in every direction, and this little oasis of green space that somehow doesn’t feel gimmicky. For couples seeking an intimate, almost cinematic experience, a 620 Loft & Garden wedding delivers on every front.

And, possibly the best part for couples who aren’t planning on inviting their entourage: despite the venue being known for full-scale weddings, the rooftop is available for weekday daytime ceremonies, making it an affordable NYC elopement venue with unparalleled aesthetic.

For their 620 Loft & Garden wedding, Nikita and Sergei kept things refreshingly simple: just a stylish, intimate NYC elopement for two with iconic city views. The pair enjoyed a slow morning at the Baccarat Hotel, getting dressed in coordinating tuxes, sipping champagne and espresso, and taking photographs amongst the dripping crystal chandeliers that Baccarat is known for.

Then, a short stroll over to exchange vows. No massive floral installations, no elaborate ceremony setup – just two people who clearly knew what they wanted and weren’t interested in overthinking it. A quick “I do,” a shower of white rose petals, and plenty of time ot enjoy the views and silence above the city. As a bonus, these grooms really understood the assignment. Both showed up in perfectly tailored suits – and I mean perfectly tailored. Crisp and intentional, just like 620 Loft, just like Baccarat.

Top cap the day, we ended the session with two other iconic locations, Top of the Rock and the New York Public Library. The neutral color palette, the overcast sky, the clean architectural lines — everything melded perfectly for the perfect modern NYC elopement. And the grooms? As chill as ever,
